View Full Version : A few boots left - Raichle 123's for $35

I've still got a bunch of 27's and a few 26's left. I think there *should* be a few satisfied buyers lurking here someplace.

$35 + shipping, no liners... a cheap way to get into it. See this URL for a link to pay, and more info:

This is all I've got. No liners, no other sizes. When they're gone, they're gone.

I have a pair that I bought from John and I am very satisfied. It took a little work to get Intec heals on there. (don't be afraid to drill) But overall they are great with the Thermoflex liners that I bought here at Bomberonline.

Thanks,
->Ben

Anybody know where I can get some 28s? Dang, I really could have used a set in 28.

I really like the 124/125. I still have my set from 1995, because you just can't find alpine stuff on the Front Range in CO anymore.

How much would you pay for the said 123s with Thermoflex liners (molded once), smartfeet insoles, Intec heels or not and a "race" version of the booster strap? These boots have been worn once. They feel a little small in the toe box area for me.

Well, the pre-molded liners and footbeds might not be really beneficial. But the shells and heels would help.

$100?

I paid $100 for my 124s and they have stood up really well. The buckle rivets are all stretched out, and so I don't think they have another season in them.

What size are your feet? Just curious at what size they get to feel small.

Send mail to mike -at- bouldergeek dot com to discuss.

John I just have a ? Where did you come up with all those boots>

A local store, Erehwon, was selling them for $25. I heard (through bomber, actually) that the manager was talking about getting rid of them all, so I went in and made a deal with him to buy the rest of them. What he told me was that they had these boots and weren't selling many, so someone out in Alaska offered to buy all of the liners (Thermoforms)... he was some bootfitter up there. So Erehwon had all of these shells with no liners, and not much hope of selling them.

I had 40+ pair of them crammed into my Cherokee. Literally the only place in the car not filled with boots was the windshield right in front of me.

I sold them for $25 for a while, but when the orders started to peter out, jacked it up to $35 'cuz it is a real pain in the arse to pack them up and get to the post office from work.

So the stock is dwindling (been quite a spurt recently for some reason). The only place I ever advertised them was here, too. When they're gone, I'm out of the boot business.... though it looks like I'm outlasting Erehwon - the whole chain is going out of business right now.

So it turns out that one of the pairs of boots I have are not a matched set. The left one is a 29 and the right one is a 28.5.

Anyone here got a shorter right foot? =)

If anyone is interested in this screwy pair, drop me a line and I'm willing to drop the price. Otherwise they'll probably get used for parts (you can hack these boots by replacing the velcro strap at the top with a buckle removed from a donor boot).

The quantities listed are current as of today:

http://johnstewart.com/boots/

Right now, 4 27's left, plus a 22 (who has feet this small?), a 29, and the screwy pair. I'd sell the screwy pair for $25+shipping.

I'm interested in one pair of the 27's but what would you recommend for liners. I wear a 9.5 us shoe.

Let me know, I'm new to this game.

**** SOLD ****

I've got a pair of used Raichle Thermoflex liners (heat moldable) that I purchased to equip a pair of boot bought from John here. So they are molded to a Raichle 123 but a bit too small for me.

They are size 26.0 (men size 8.0) and finally I bought a 26.5 which is better for me. For sale $25 + shipping. If interested email me (click profile then click email)

**** SOLD ****

Appreciate the reply, but in my research I believe for a 9.5 US I should be looking for a 27.5 or 28 liner for that size foot. anyone is welcome to correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks
Greg

Ya, I'm not sure.

I personally used my softboot liners for a couple of weeks after I got mine (size 30's), but then I found some Thermoforms locally that were size 31's. They fit fine.

Definitely I think Thermoforms are the way to do.

If you're interested, act quickly. I'm just about done with the boot business. I only have one pair each of sizes:

26
27
29

Also, FYI, the 26 and 27 I've got left have both been lightly used - they were both used by folks thinking of buying them, so they've been down the hill a couple of times. There is nothing wrong with them, I just wanted you to be aware.

I would like a pair but is it better to go the bigger (29) or smaller (27) for outer shell and I'll put some liners in that fit me (28's). Let me know.

Hard to say, and I am FAR from an expert on this - I only have been hardbooting for a season myself, and am no professional when it comes to selling footwear. =)

In my personal experience, I would say that a little bigger is better than too small.

If it's too small, your toes could be cramped and curled in the front of the boot. If it's too big, it's not as big a deal because it seem to me that the control comes not from the toes (as with softboots), but more from the boot clamping around your ankle.

I think you should definitely see what others think, though...

Chubz I'm a 9.5 and am using a 27.5 liner but a 27 deffinitely is do able I may switch to a smaller liner next season I just got a pair of 27 121s off ebay and they are snugger but not overly tight. And I have weird feet wide at the front high insteps and narrow heels and the 27s are still comfortable.

:D I do. I do...

I snapped my middle toe skim boarding in Hawaii and now I have trouble finding boots. I love my boots tight so I usually use my right foot for fitting and endure the pain for the rest of the season. Why? I don't know but this could be the solution.

To order the boots, go here:

http://johnstewart.com/boots/

I've got one of each - 26, 27, and 29.

Sounds like Jon wants the 27's.

Note that the 26 and 27 both have been demoed on the hill by potential buyers; they are in like-new conditition, however.

what else can we do?? I'm VERY anal about my credit card numbers, so it's bank money order or (gasp) I send cash. Let me know.

Got to make things difficult for me, huh?

Email me again (john at johnstewart dot com) and I'll send you the address, etc, to send me a money order.

Also, I agree paypal sucks, but you don't technically have to use a credit card; you can withdraw from your bank account into your paypal account.

A money order should be fine.

Holy crap, talk about bringing back the dead.

The boots are gone folks. I actually have one pair of 26's left, but am trying to decide if I want to keep them for myself for spare parts.

If I decide to part with them, I've already got a couple of folks in my inbox who called dibs. =)
