Phil, this model fast has a lever on side of binding heel to release. No cables. I'd trade you both binders for one of those German decks.

ARE YOU SHURE ?
I HAVE THE SAME MODEL FROM 99 i think:confused: , and when it broke (could not release anymore) i opened the screws of the heelmechanism, and saw that the lever pulls a cabel (like the brake cable of a bike), and this is broken, (the other binding broke one day later) so the mechanism opens just on one side and not syncron. the cable alone should be cheap, but i cant find anybody to sell it, i thought about repairing it myself,
as it seems to be a typicult result of worn out material, i hope that someone has expieriences with this problem, or even understands what i mean, sorry for my poor english!
thanks for your offer, perhaps i ll have to get back to this, but at the moment i think repairing only the relevant part is more economic, i ll let you know if i fail!

Phil, Thanks for the heads up on the workings. I knew I really did not have to go to school to learn all the important things in life. They are all right here on this site. Good luck on the repair. I repaired a Burton Physics Cable with a bicycle cable after having to remove my foot from boot that was still attached to board and stumble into shop to borrow a pliers to get boot disconnected. Real fun.

Phil, thanks for the offer on the Virus but I have quite the quiver and should be lessening and not adding. Unless you want to trade even up for all the Fast Binders.
