    How to find the size of a Raichle boot

    I've noticed in the past that people will advertise Raichle boots as size "22-25.5", "25-27.5", or "28-30.5". The actual size of the boot shell will be a full-size range such as 27-27.5. The follow picture illustrates where to find the size stamp on the inside of the shell (green is right, red is wrong):

    Why is the larger range stamped on the tongues and on the shell cuff? The shells come in several parts. The tongues (yellow) and upper cuffs (blue) come in three sizes, "small" (22-24.5), medium (25-27.5) and large (28+). The lower assembly (gray) comes in single-size ranges like 27-27.5 and this determines the size of the shell.

    Just thought I'd post this since I took a few pics of these shells to sell them...

    Great public service! I just learned something. I thought that the liners narrowed down those numbers, never thought about the boot being made from more than one part. Thank's Scott

    Well, and just think about it. How can they make a shell that fits 3 sizes? It wouldn't work.

    More FYI

    The shell of the boot fits sizes in range from *.0 - *.9 (for ex, a 26.0 - 26.9). The next shell takes over where this one ends. The liner makes up the difference from here ONLY IF IT IS NOT A THERMOFLEX LINER!!!! If it is a thermoflex liner, it runs the same as the shell and should be sized appropriately.
    Thermoflex liners do not come in half sizes, as the whole size will form to your foot as long as you do the shell test and the shell is the right size.

    Also, a lot of this information can be found on our web site as well as lots lots lots more. Please look around, the answer is probably there.

    Kudos to Mike for bringing this up, and including photos. GREAT JOB!

    DeeLuxe Sizing

    I took a few minutes and gathered this information from our inventory...

    Here are the outside shell dimension that you'll find molded into the area of the boot just above the heel pad (medial side or inner ankle).

    SB Shells (Track 325, Track 225, LeMans, SB### Series)
    M22 = 253mm
    M23 = 261mm
    M24 = 269mm
    M25 = 277mm
    M26 = 285mm
    M27 = 295mm
    M28 = 303mm
    M29 = 313mm
    M30 = 322mm
    M31 = 332mm

    AF Shells (Track 700, Indy, Suzuka, AF700/600)
    M24 = 270mm
    M25 = 279mm
    M26 = 289mm
    M27 = 299mm
    M28 = 309mm
    M29 = 319mm
    M30 = 329mm
