yep, another cubicle dweller here...
Turned 33 in June. Physical Therapist / Bicycle Mechanic.
I can think of three others (one of whom is a member, two others who may lurk) who are within either side of me be 1 year and are variously sales reps (pharmaceuticals and outdoor hardgoods/softgoods) and a luthier/furniture craftsman.
You have to be a little bit of a geek to love hardbooting, and it doesn't hurt to have enough income to afford the hardgoods. Like others have mentioned, most of the equipment available (and desired by the majority of the participants) is at the high end of the quality scale compared to other sporting endeavors.
To skid is human; to carve, divine.
34...construction safety officer
as for the geek factor. I also think that it is a lot easier for us cube farmers to be online more frequently...
any of you guys "Prarie dog" or "Crop dust?"

Embrace the Face.
Hook it Up, Crank it Over, Lay it Down... repeat as necessary.
Carve all ways.
Oh, those Gnu bindings with the pre-"Kelly Tongue" tongues. Mmm. And don't forget the Hypercarve, epitome of all things Gnu.Originally Posted by tahoetrencher

33 (in two weeks). Yeah I've got one of those freaking cube jobs as wellRiding since 87 started on a Funky (aka F2 now) in Austria, carving since 91.
Your as likely to find my legs sticking out of the hood of a car as from under one. At 48 I'm a grey on tray and proud of it, too. And the quiver pales in comparison to the big red shiny box. I could invest 16 times as much in the quiver as I have now in boards/bindings etc. and still be behind the curve!
Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer in Iowa. Been riding softboots for about 5 years, now itching to go to hardboots. Watched several guys screaming down Snowmass just days before they closed last season, digging trenches and really laying it over.
I'm really surprised to see a fair number at the upper end!
41...and feeling it!
Last we did this, I think the average age was 40-ish. Tried to find that thread, maybe it was on the old board.
