I am also a single bomber from MA looking for love. If anyone has any friends late 20's early 30's I would love be hooked up with a fellow bomber.

See what happens when Ais gets a bf? We don't get posts on here for months....

if threads had theme music, this one would have wilson phillips playing.
Uh...hello. This was on page 7. 7!!!
A little update for those that don't know. Three of our people are engaged!
Congrats to Angie and Jim, who got engaged over Christmas on a run at Buttermilk. Some of us will be crashing the wedding on the ice coast later this year.
Also congrats to Ace, our not-so-local-anymore "rad" photographer! Betrothed over V-day.

I got an email about this thread today, and figured since I haven't posted in the bomber forums for about 3 years, I'd file a "relationship update". A girl I went to high school with in NY in the 70's found me on Facebook in 2009. A little over two years later, after some hesitancy by me over ANOTHER long-distance relationship (she was in Westchester County, NY - I was in Northern VT), we started dating. I just left a horrible job in VT and moved in with her in NY. First time "back in the barn" since 2003. She doesn't snowboard, or ski, but it works anyway. I'm headed to Sugarbush (alone) to ride 2/26-3/2 while she holds down the fort. Looking forward to this year's oh-so-marketing-driven recent description, by Sugarbush, of their current snow conditions - "CRUSHED POWDER". Seriously, that's what their snow report said yesterday. :-)

Good luck wavechaser! Hey, it's been over 2 years, you guys are well on your way.
Will we see you at ECES as well? You can even bring the little filly so she can meet some of the people that share your passions.![]()

you need a Snow Bunny :P
Going thru withdrawl, so I went to the local Ice skating rink, went out back where the 'boni dumps the shaved ice, zipped up my coat and threw myself into the fresh pile.....
Consider it a job well done if you squirm enough to get it in yer pants and dont realize it till you are back in the car 10 minutes later![]()
If there isn't snow, It is still Ski season... JETSKI SEASON ! Carving on the unfrozen :)
OK, time to get the OT: waaaaaaay OT thread back on topic!
From Anna Akhmatova's "Twenty-First. Night. Monday."
Some good-for-nothing -- who knows why--
made up the tale that love exists on earth.
Together for over 3 years, put everything I had into that relationship. He did too, so it seemed. Then it all disintegrates, almost overnight. Difficult to comprehend.... On the bright side, I am really enjoying the company of my dog and chickens. I seem to do best with fur and feather people.![]()

Bummer. Sorry to hear that. To risk a little cornball analogical philosophizing, sometimes life's like snowboarding- one turn at a time and one love at a time. Love exists just like turns exist - both are transient and both are cool when you are deep in them but they can both leave trenches. Come out of one a little wobbly; just find your center and dive into the next one (if you believe in cross-over, anyway).
If you're feeling really creative, write some poetry using this metaphor. No matter how apt the metaphor and how beautifully you render it, you will probably remain an obscure poet, albeit one with a fanatical following among the romantic alpine carving literati. After another decade of climate change you'll be not only obscure but heartbreakingly poignant.
Seriously - you've been a real light in this community and I wish you the best. I hope you'll attract someone with a little less sidecut and be happier longer.

I know I'm not an "awesome carver" but I feel "awesome" when I'm carving
Dang - that "Safe Place" is the worst place to leave something. About 5 years ago I went on a trip and decided to put all the credit cards I wasn't taking with me in a 'safe place' and my list of passwords in a different safe place. I live in a 500 square foot house. It was a few months before I needed any of those credit cards and by then I'd forgotten where I put them - it took me 3 years to find them. Still haven't found the password list......
OhD, thanks! I've always wanted to be obscure and heartbreakingly poignant! Maybe we'll have to have a carver's poetry slam next season...
And Carvingchef - oh my!!! Line up about a dozen of those for me, and when I wake up from the sugar coma everything will be just fine!![]()
