    Congratulations!

What we did was to make the dinner and the dance separate. We had a nice restaurant meal with the wedding party and close family (about 40 people) and then later on had the party with a band. Never had a single complaint - most people seemed please to do their own thing for dinner, avoid the rubber chicken and endless speeches. We saved a lot of cash, too - not only did we avoid paying for dinner for 150 people or so, the dance venue let us do the liquor ourselves for a modest corkage.

Hotels are the devil - they want to get you for everything.

I can tell you that the Greek boys are lovely, but they're not really in to toga parties and absinthe. In fact, they were very shy. They did enjoy the prime rib and chargrilled vegetables for dinner though.

The ouzo was nowhere to be seen ... which suits me fine, I can't stand the stuff (and this coming from someone who rarely met a drink she didn't like.)

Noah, I hope you have a wonderful wedding. Mine was a s&$t show the first time around, and I'd rather poke myself in the eye with a stick than repeat the experience ...

Yes the Greek boys were very lovely.....Especially Panos ! They were indeed very shy but we had fun with them nonetheless. I still think about that prime rib dinner and of course Shrederjen's "crack"! Demmit, I miss Aspen or being in Basalt!!!

    Congrats on the wedding!

I managed to have a week of awesome weather and 20 degree (Celcius) water to swim in when I went back home. However now back in cold and miserable London while Vanessa calls me every day to tell me how good the weather is back home (she had an extra 10 days there but I had to get back for work).

Noah that's great to hear. All the hard part is coming up now. But I'm sure you will make it work out to be a great day.

Um, possibly but really not sure. I have just got back from Kuwait and have to go to Beirut next week, so it seems most of our work at the moment is in the Middle East. But we might go over to Italy for a long weekend at some stage. You have my email, so let me know when you have your plans finalised and I'll see what we can swing.

Michelle I think I am going to miss you. I'm all over the Middle East at the moment (Kuwait last week, Beirut this week - got back tonight, Bahrain then Kuwait then Dubai then Abu Dhabi next week, Libya in a few weeks) so I won't have a chance to chase you around Europe unfortunately.

working, racing and listening to my gal plan a wedding for the fall. I have a feeling that this will seriously cut down on my racing. I'm sure it will be worth it. I'll let you know as the summer continues and give a full report in a year. Must continually remind her of the budget. I know it will be blown, but lets keep it to a minimum....please!

Searching for my next destination. Europe was awesome, and sparked the travel bug for me again. Anyone in Europe want to marry me so I can move overseas?

I would, but you know I hear that divorce is rather costly and bigamy is not legal in any of the countries I'm allowed to live in.

    Yes, you are probably right.

But on a completely different note, we have some big news. There's a reason she was so tired at SES....she's pregnant! Lucky me, I'm going to be a dad at the end of October!
