    new boots

I am trying to find a new pair of boots for my wife and need some advice. She is 135 lbs, pretty aggresive and riding a 164 Blast. Her current boot is an older 4 buckle Burton (Red and Grey) in a 25.5. She is a strong rider who carves every turn, Style is fairly upright and very smooth. What boot/boots should I be looking at? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

What is wrong with her current boots? Do they fit right, flex right for her, are the shells still good, are the liners still good, ect.? You might be best off to get a new liner for the shells, you'll save money and she'll still be in a boot she is familiar with and already likes.

I agree, I have the same boots, Burton Winds (00/01 I think) and they still work fine, a lot of pros use these same boots even though they have been discontinued for years. If it's a comfort/warmth issue, maybe you should think about just getting new liners.

On the other hand, if you do find new boots that she likes, let me know. I might take the old ones off your hands.
My girl rides a pair of 25.5 Blax Franz, and they're great boots, but she has the worst time getting into them. Makes me appreciate my small-man-calves though...

Thanks for the input. She just feels that it's time for some new boots. Maybe I will just order new liners for her old boots. I was hoping that some one would rant about some "great womens boot" so I could just suprise her with a new pair.

the only boot that claims to be female specific is the Deeluxe Spa Lady, but...if she's an intermediate to advanced carver the short 3 buckle design might not be what youre lookin for.

another vote for new liners. check out intuition or thermoflex

Or even a beginner carver who is good at skiing or softbotting!

My wife has less than 10 days on plates and her 4-buckle 225's w/ a 224 tongue work great for her. They fit fine on her calves - she finds them just as comfy as her soft boots - with a thermo liner and they are just the right amount of responsive for her so far.

    deeluxe

suzuka or indy with a thermoflex
they might be a little stiff but they are all around better than the other deeluxe models
I never really like to recomend the other deeluxe boots because the cants suck on the older raichle/deeluxe stuff

I don't know much about the head boots because I have not ridden in them but I do know that a girl that was riding stratton loved hers
