    Question Taos Ski Valley Advice

Heading there next week... anyone have any tips?

I don't ride big boards or blue pistes, so I'm not a "carver" in that sense.
I will probably take my resort board; if it dumps 100cm (which it just did in Whistler) then I'll rent something different.

Ok, now I'm an expert. Maybe the expert.

Taos.... good mogul fields, a neat and steep resort. My Kessler (156 SL, if you're looking at the other thread) is the perfect board here - no speed cops, not many people, moguls. Lots of snow, spring temperatures, and Creme Brule...

My Kessler is the only board in the ski room here. On balance I think it is probably safe to allow skiers to ride here too - they don't scrape the snow around enough to be a nuisance.

And here's a bit of video from yesterday which shows the conditions pretty well.
