We were planning to but then my spouse was invited to a Keystone conference... so we'll be there the week before
...next year! Plan to hit Winter Park NASTAR course once while we're there! Good Luck!
Qualified but not able to go.
SunSurfer
ill be up there.
Also qualified, but will be at a conference in St. Louis that weekend. This was my first year trying NASTAR, though, and I was the only person in my age group in Illinois. I'm sure I can qualify again next year if I want to go. My field never seems to have conferences in ski country - I'll have to try and fix that!

this me be a little off topic, but anyway i can meet up with someone to help me out with techniques while out at winter park?
I called Winterpark to see what they offered regarding the clinics, and they said they were ski-only clinics (no snowboarding), so that didn't sound too promising.
I'm not sure I'm qualified or competent enough to help someone with technique, but I'm sure that a few of us could chime in with unhelpful advice :-)
I'm alone (as a racing hardboot snowboarder) so I've had to get all of my advice online.
I like:

I have other source's I'll send if you pm me as I don't have them at work.
I live for the midweighting videos. Some of the best video's for instruction that I have seen.
Hi guys,
Not sure I'm qualified either, but I'd be happy to share some thoughts on the Thursday prior to Nationals. Say... meet at the bottom of the Nastar course in Winter Park at noon? There is a decent lodge right there where we can sit and go over some ideas and then get on the course and try them out? Please reply and let me know who is interested.

Yes, that would be March 22.
I'll be there! I'm interested to see what its like on a real mountain after hidden valley in st. louis...
This will be my eighth trip to the Nationals. It's the highlight of my year each winter. 2008 worked out better than I could have envisioned.
Deadline to enter (if you qualified) is tomorrow. Come join me!

Not qualified? This coming from the guy who finished four tenths of a second behind Jasey Jay at ECES? Friends, if you can get some coaching from Scott, grab it!
The restaurant is called Snoasis.
I'd love to get the coaching myself but I'll be doing some last minute training on skis that day with my son-in-law and grandson.

Blushing, Thanks Pat.
I think Jasey was a little more interested in selling snowboards that day than racing.
I'll be at the finish line of the course at noon. Look for the 185 SG w/ black top sheet and bomber plate.
Will decide where we go from there based on who shows up.

It was great to meet some more of the BOL crew. Big thanks to Scott for sharing some tips. I had a blast.
Great time guys, Thanks.
Let's do it again next year!

We've had snowboard gates for the regular competition for a few years but it was a real treat to have them for the Race of Champions this year.
It was the most fun I've had in eight Nationals. Taking 2nd in Platinum skiing was a thrill but the biggest thrill was seeing my four year old grandson make the podium.

On Sunday's Race of Champions we had a real treat. The snowboard course was paceset by Ted Ligety, 3 time World GS champion and Olympic Gold Medalist. My wife shot video of Doug Lewis, Jake Fiala, AJ Kitt, and Ted laying down some impressive turns on a course with minimal vertical offset. It's worth watching all the way through to see how incredibly fast Ted is.
