Anyone been to Mammoth lately?

Has anyone been riding at Mammoth lately I plan on going there soon but I would like to know how the snow is there.

Yes, was just there last week. The quality is excellent nearly everywhere on the mountain, so don't be too worried about carving up groomers. Of course, its low tide off piste due to the dry year, but all standard trails are open and are in good shape. Up top, some of the steeps have some exposed rocks, but otherwise its good.

I was there the weekend of Feb 18. I'd describe it as adequate. Never hit any rocks, but there were a few areas where the ground was beginning to show. The snow was looking old by monday.

It's snowing up there as I'm writing this and more is forecasted for later this week. But unless they get another mega storm where the snow is measured in feet, it's looking like this will be a very short season.

There is still time left in the season for that ^^ to happen. I agree that this season will be a short one without some major dumps happening asap. However, I'm getting more pessimistic with each passing week. It seems like the few storms they've had have produced minimal snowfall. Sad season.

About a month earlier in January, while waiting for the red line, I saw someone raking the lawn in front of their condo. Now that was truly a sad sight!
