Rode from 2:30 to 4:30 or so. Laid some trenches and poached some pow stashes. Talked to ohd while @ work but didn't see any other hardbooters while I was out there. I will be there for first chair tomnorrow. Weather dudes are calling for 1 to 2 feet overnight. So I might be on my pow board if it snows 16 inches or more. Otherwise my prior 4x4 loves powder.

Had a awesome morning session. The carving conditions were perfect and off piste was equally as nice. Did 4 runs of pow on the north bowl with boardski. Also ran into OhD from white pass along with the other alpine racers with the usasa. Ran a 31.5 in the nastar course as well. I also seen dane and john this morning too. Hope it pukes so much snow I gotta ride my pow board tomorrow. Today was day 40 for snowboarding for this season with many more to come.

Foot of fresh this morning so I rode the triple for 2 hours then a hour on the quad once it opened. Had stuff to do left around noon. Boardski and I booted up the pow pow in honor of our buddy "Kram". Day 41 for me.

I'll be heading up along with a mob of poor college students for College Daze tomorrow morning! I'm gonna try and catch the first chair before it gets too crowded =/

WOW!!! One of the best carving days of this season. Practically speakless at the moment. .... Ok done with the silence in honor of kram. Rode with dane till noon. We both met up unplanned on first 1st chair on the bunny hill. Then proceeded to have trench wars with john. Whenits good its great !

    Sorry we missed ya Gus.
Showed up late and saw a couple trenches, talked with Mr. & Mrs Thirst Snowboards while hanging at the Wang and chatted for a few. they were calling it a day but Mark was railing happily on his own, uber stiff, 174 full carbon wrap on antique stepin bindings with negative splay.
I was actually 2planking it today, in-between wang deck sessions soaking up the sun, much to mrs b0ardski's delight.

Kevin nailed it the other day, he said it aint switch, switch is going sideways,
I ski backwards, I ride backwards, switch alpine feels just like switch skiing, it's backasswards.
The spring like bumps were big fun in the sun today on 186 twin tip atomics.

OMG the big purple stick in my hand
came to life under my feet today.
carving steep winchcat groomers on uber stiff 18 wide race boards aint so bad in the right conditions

ps riding backwards on 185 race boards is only recommended on hardpack groomers in the sunshine

Rode with the family today everyone but Rusty he was @ school. Good carving conditions on mtn left many a rut. Had lunch @ the outback even did a little pow off the t-bar out of bounds too. I worked out the calendar with schweitzer and now have a pdf file of the schedule also. Will be posting in a few spots tomorrow.

Got up to the mtn late had to deal with my son breaking his clavical boarding today. But he has been boarding for 14 years so not to bad since it is his first board injury. I kicked some 2 legged ass tonight. Came in around 8th place mens beat all the girls so I'm stoked since I just wanted to beat a few 2 leggers. Pays to be a carver for doing gates. I don't have much gate experience but carving turns instead of sliding turns is faster.

Rode hard from 830ish till noon then off to work. Had a great group of carvers with me today. Everyone of us is progressing nicely and all looking better than last year. It was dane, neal, john and myself doing our best at creatin' hazards. Must have done a good job since I heard about us at work later on in the day. All of us are starting to get excited about NICE coming up very soon.

Tue was sunny with firm groomers softening into extreme happiness in the afternoon, wed started about the same but intermittent clouds/fog kept the temps cold and pretty hard but had a great time carvin wit brudda Dane and Adam a lifty? on a carve boad for the 1st time. Even though he was in ski boots (big feet) keeping hin a bit stiff legged he was comfortable with speed and railing on his 1st day

Fri was perfect for carving, the 165 nidecker was reallly liking it even though visibility on the top half was an issue

Rode with boardski from 1pm till 3pm or so. It was good carving conditions for sure. Then I raced and placed 9th on my prior. Not too shabby for a gimpass. Tanya my wife was fastest female boarder.

It's looking like this years NICE could be a pow fest with temps in the upper 20s, Our cat jockeys are the best, but the cord may be soft. Bring your powder and or all mountain boards to NICE this week. We will have a few hardboot worthy soft snow boards for loaners

    "gaper dodging" at it's best

well the new snow was great to ride in (should have taken out the 173 Identity rather than the 165 nidecker) but finding a parking spot was an exercise in futility. Schwietzer set an attendance record Sun. which I already knew from the parking situation. Lift lines on the front weren't too bad because the majority were fighting for pow on the 2 lifts of the north bowl.
Becki & I got there late and left early even though the snow was great. the excuse was she's breaking in new boots and I'm saving my legs for NICE.
The herds will go home tomorrow so we'll have our mt back for Hardbooter heaven the rest of the week

Depends on your carrier. Verizon, at&t,sprint works good but not cricket. The only patchy service is on stella 6 pack chair on the backside.

Rode from 830 to noon minus a hour for a dr appointment. Rallied the road up and down so as not to miss out on the fun. Then damn work from 1-7pm. No rest for the wicked. Wish I was having dinner with kinpa to keep her from talking to the napkins. Love lobster tails hope slopetool is making an appearence.

Not exactly corduroy this morning but early loads on the basin chair were big fun with some wind blown snow on the groomers. The NICErs left scores of 6in ruts as the jealous skiers waiting in line while a dozen hardbooters trashed the run
