JJSB Cypress 161

Had the chance this weekend to get the hand on JJSB Cypress 161. Can only say good things about this board and his "Interface" plate system. Always tought i would stay forever on Kessler boards but now things are different!

Board like high speed and is super stable and it hold on the edge in any conditions, better than any board i've ever tried!

I'm not so good to post reviews, but i know what i like and would recommend anyone to get the hand on one if they have the chance! From what i understood, there is gonna be an extremely limited production this year so if you see one for sale, BUY IT!

Also sorry for my bad english, just really wanted to share that with you guys!

Would you please describe "like high speed", meaning only good for high speed? What about lower speed; like if you do want to finish the turn? Recreational carving (not race).

Le seul petit hic, le board est légerement mou comparé a une Kessler mais pour en voir les inconvénient il faut vraiment un virage hyper puissant que j'ai peut être atteint 2 fois dans la journée en conditions de très grande vitesse.

I read your other post (I use Google Translate); sorry if translated incorrectly and I think there are some "lost in the translation".
The only minor snag, the board is slightly soft compared with Kessler but to see the problem you really turn a hyper powerful than I can be reached two times a day under conditions of very high speed.

The board is a little softer than the kessler. You only get this feeling at really high speed using a tons of power into the board to turn. I only felt this twice during the testing day and the conditions were super fast.

Yeah the board is a little softer than a Kessler but you really need a to do a powerfull race carve that you would never do in recreational carving. Don't get me wrong, this is still a racing board so very stiff compared to many others i have tried and consider i'm a heavy rider (200lbs). A recreational carver should go on a Whsitler model.

Yet what is awesome with the Interface plate system is that you can adjust it to the kind of carving you wanna do. If you put maximum distance betwen the insert of the plate (not your binding) the board is gonna be more astiff and agressive. If you put them closer, the board gonna be more smooth for recreational carving. You can also try asymetric setup of the plate to adjust for your frontside/backside carve. Jsey was using it this way this sunday and liked it a lot, i'm gonna try that this weekend.

Very important things i have to add...there is many ways to install the interface plate (use different distance between inserts, asymetric, etc).

You really got to experiment the different ways cause with each setup you get a new board. When i did a few ride with Jasey, he seemed to like asymetric setup, gave it a try and it got terrible, wnet from the best board to the worst (in my opinion).

Since everyone don't ride the same way...experiment everything to make sure you get the best setup for you! Asymetric might not be for me but i'm sure it might be good for some others.
