    snowreport: sat jan. 14, 2012

    howdy all
very high overcast, a little flat light all day. yesterday was so good, but
must have gotten a little too warm cause the lower half of the mountain
got a little too icy and the piles of man made snow made a lot of chicken
heads and there were polished ice sheets. the upper half was good and
the backside was good carving snow. not the best day, but still had fun.
there was a little snow falling about an hour during lunch, but not much.
    rode my pcm175 from 9 till 3...

... and Kinpa tells me she wants to ride trees this weekend. So we need a local to show us the girl-friendly tree stashes.

Ahhhh.... the Fish? Is it the Black/Red one with the mountain on it??? Cause then I'd really have to think about it as that was the same graphic as my very first board.... BUT this girl don't do no softies!!!!! (the last soft boots I had were Burton SI.... still have two pairs of boots and two sets of bindings in the storage shed, but if they ever do see the light of day again, it will only be to go to a new home!)

    snowreport: mon jan. 16, 2012

    howdy all
cold day, snow from the get go and snowing all day. an inch overnight
and by the end of the day there was four plus inches of light fluffy pow.
slight fog on the very top, but visibility was good most of the day.
there was no wind in the morning, but it got windy about 2:30. things
got bumppy with the new snow, but with the cold temps it was easy to
cut thru the fluffy stuff. it was a fun day and rode hard.
forcast now is wednesday for big pow...
    rode my 165amt from 9 till 4...

    howdy all
big mtn snow report reported 9in. in 24hr. and 6in. in overnight. with cold
temps it was really light fluffy pow. the top had more and the bottom not
so much, chair 2 gets groomed last so very little on there. i started on
chair 1 to get the good stuff and first few runs were good, but still
scraping the ice underneath, it was champagne powder. some wind blown
stuff was knee high and you just plow thru with no resistance. chair 2
looked carvable at my end of the day at 1pm, but i was on my softies.
called it early cause the softies tired me out. forcast is more pow wed.
thru fri. with warmer temps so better snow... we'll see...
    rode my amp5 from 9 till 1...

Winter weather advisory : "A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING."

Not gonna be a fast trip. Thinking that leaving early might be a good call. Dog knows what it's going to be like on the Fernie side ...

They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far.

Music at the Northern Fri and Sat

A good band is at the Northern Fri and Sat. Copper Mountain Band. Mostly country/rock. Will probably be getting out with some visiting guests one of the nights.

We had nachos there at 4:15. Looks like we'll be doing the Northern tomorrow night (Sat). Got a house full of guests, so it's not likely we'll make chair two at 9:00 AM, but I'll be looking for you. Haven't hardbooted all week, but just got a new package from Canada, so tomorrow will pry be a carving day.

    howdy all
got cut loose from work about 11am so up to the big, got on snow at
1pm. foggy from the top of chair 2 and pretty thick at times. snow was
wet-n-heavy, but very carvable. took it slow in the beginning than
pushed it pretty hard. it wasn't too bumped up, but still got rattled
around. if it doesnt snow tonight it should be very good tomorrow.
forcast is it might rain than snow later in the day. a big pacific front
is pushing thru with warm temps and rain.
    rode my 165amt from 1 till 4:30...
