    2011 summer board porn

New 9'0" comp/modern longboard from Wayne Okamoto "Oak Foils"

This is about the 20th board from this shaper since I was about 13. I have been out of the surfing game for the last few years and this is my first new custom in about 3 years. The first custom longboard since 97'. He pulled the original order form and dimensions from back then...Truly a master craftsman as most of his boards are digitized and shaped on one of the first true 3d mills that he hand made. Thanks Wayne for keeping my summer stoke alive/ Starting with a custom Blank to allow for the Proper rocker profile not available from the few remaining blank manufacturers in the US.

I see quick releases to easily adjust the truck wedge. Woah, neat! Is this your invention or something being sold?

Size: 98.9 KBI can't say enough good things about gBomb longboards, and the gBomb metal bracket design. It's purpose is to allow wedging and de-wedging of the trucks, without resorting to using actual rubber or plastic wedges between your board and the trucks. This keeps the deck ride height more manageable. It also eliminates wheel bite. It's a great tradeoff between pumpability, and pushability. My go-to deck is the middle one (third from right), on the bike paths I ride here every day. It's also my longboard marathon deck. Super pumpable, very pushable, and surfy too. Carving with this thing is a blast. I added the two coilers for perspective. They are 173 cm and 165 cm in length. The big wooden deck is a Surf Rodz 60" freeride deck, and beside that is a re-gripped Loaded Dervish. To the right of that is a Rayne Nemesis for freeriding. I would highly recommend a gBomb Illuminati. They come in two lengths, and they are about the same price as a good quality deck from any other manufacturer. He also sells the brackets if you want to build your own deck, or recycle an old or broken deck.
