    Hello Pius,
I still haven´t ridden a Full Carve, but this might have been a good choice! I´m eager to hear your feedback ...

I have already been to the glacier to test my knee. It held up very well! So I´m hoping for a good season. At the moment it is too warm here and the glaciers are overcrowded ...

So the board came with a brochure, and they only list a single radius number, 11.8m. I'm assuming this means the tail radius, and that SG's have a VSR/clothoid/scrumtrulescent sidecut shape like Kessler.... yes??

SCR info. is not on the catalog. But on SG website, the published SCR is AVG. of 3 different progressive radii. ......and yes but different geometry.

    Thumbs up Nice

Jack, I have the SG 163 Full Race from last year. It is a sweet ride. You will definitely enjoy yours. I believe the sidecut is a VSR. Looking at the SG Japan site it only lists one radius as well. Think it is the radius in the tail section. Have fun!! Tom

Scooby the waist is 20.3 cm.

Nice board Jack but you will only be riding half of it if you don't ride it with a plate!

I have a Boiler Plate. I'll try it on the SG, but I'm pretty sure it's going to live on my 185.

    Nice board !
I can't wait for your report, I ride a 2009 of the same model, but did not ride many boards, so can't compare.
Only that it's the stiffest board I've ridden, been reading somewhere on BOL that the 2010 and 2011 are a bit softer.

Jack, I hope you made the right decision ...

The given radius is an average of different radii, so it is not the tail radius in particular. But I found with the SG boards that the differences between the radii in the separate sections of the board is not as big as with certain other companies. But it is still VSR.

Here are mine for this season ... 163 and 185 ...

To be part of the team !

No seriously, there is no reasonable cause behind it. I liked the graphics a bit better than the normal version and you only live once.

There is also no reasonable cause why my sneakers are so expensive or why my Goretex Pro Shell jacket costs as much as a good snowboard ...

    You´re absolutely right !

I thought the same thing, but tell me what to do? I already tried Kessler and Apex. Since the Black Pearls are made in Japan now, they are pretty hard to get (not that they were easy to get before).

But let´s see what the future will bring ...
