Cuban, she's awesome, can't wait to see her at HES.
Ink, by FAR the best post, EVER. Coolest thing I've ever seen.
Thanks SEJ but its all Bruce the master.
Big Canuck Will you have her naked sister in time for WTF?
How did it get this late so early.
Cuban, Bruce is threatening to ship it tomorrow... dunno if thats real but it'll be worth it when it shows (as you know)
Alas We're out on wtf this year bud, im heading there on the 8th. Life just did not align for this year. I'm bummed bud, I have a blast at the fish and hanging with Clevland crew. Was looking forward to showing the progress! Plank raised the bar a bit. That thing is magic.
I'll post some pics when it shows up.

“Yes, it is much more challenging to ski 210 cm toothpicks. But do you choose to go to the wooden outhouse in the wintertime? Or it is more pleasant to use the indoor toilet instead? Why take challenges from the past when we can go on and challenge us on what’s possible with the current technology?”
Shane McConkey disscussing rockered skis.
My new custom widened 167 Ax arrived. Waist is 23.5 cm with glass construction but VSR/decambered nose/tail from Metal Ax. Will be running Bomber Power Plates on this with soft bindings (small feet). Plan to try a plate on this too so I had Sean build it with UPM inserts. Hoping we get some snow soon!
That looks like a lot of fun. Thinking about a wider Sl type of ride for next season- that gets the ideas rolling.

That sucks Big Canuck its always good having you and your crew at the pub. You did get a great board wanted to see you rock that monster.
How did it get this late so early.
Plankenschtein version three on the juice.
Just got this today and mounted it with a 4mm BP and new TD3 si. 188, 23 cm waist, 13/16m scr
Question for people with Boiler plates, the stance width is maxing out the Boiler plates width capacity.... I set the base plates as wide as they would go, tightened them down, tightened down the philips head screws that hold the front dowel (whats it called), put the plate on, tightened it down with the 4 bolts and snugged up the two side 4 mm allen bolts... Thats it right?
There is no other way it would mount with the spread of my inserts (which is fine) just want to make sure I didn't miss anything..
Second board, Donek, 165 identical to Nurse Ben's but with a Bamboo core. Ben I hope you see that me replicating the board is a form of flattery, I thought it was the coolest!!! I've ridden it a couple 1/2 days, and its very fun.
Want to say special thanks to Bruce at Coiler and Shred Grummer for coming up with the crazy boards i get.
Sorry the pictures do not even come close to doing these boards justice. They are over the top.

Looks scaryfast Kurt. I like it.
When are you gonna find time to ride the horned beast?
"...engineering is the art of moulding materials we do not wholly understand into shapes that we cannot precisely analyse, so as to withstand forces we cannot really assess, in such a way that the community at large has no reason to suspect the extent of our ignorance."
- Dr. AR Dykes, Chairman, Scottish Branch of IStructE, 1978
You know what the craziest thing about the Monsters is? You can ride them pretty slow too. They flex so easy you don't have to be doing Mach Scnell. They can be super turny at much slower speeds than the size would suggest and the edgehold is superb with the quality of the board and length of edge.
Rewind 4-5 years ago I was all about SL boards for how turny they are and how cofident I felt on them, the first day I rode Plankenschtein I was doing turns as tight as my SL boards. Doesn't make sense but the confidence those things inspire is magic.
Yes, I have ridden the Horned Monster (probably have 4-5 1/2 days on it), its sick. I rode some of the steepest pitches I've ever ridden at Nakiska 2 Thursdays ago. Very turny, unreal edge hold, damp and the thing looks so bad ass.
Now the biggest challenge is deciding which boards to ride!!!
PS: Cuban, hope we can hook up next season, always a good time

Kurt beware, that nice Monster will be monsterly faster with that BBP on it![]()
I am a bit nervous about that.... When I had the Vist plate on my SG 162 I just about went in the trees a few times... It was freakin scary.![]()
Oh my ..... I will ride my Oxess 185 WC with the BBP on it in a few weeks time. Better looking for some very wide racetracks then![]()
Another "Boiler Coiler" 182 vsr fcII 13-15-14, 21cm wide, trying to optimize flex for use with plate.

Kurt u know that I know u are just holding
on to my board
They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it, and it's worked out pretty well so far.
I have ridden the Apex. Very nice board, it's really quiet and smooth. It's def a gs board though, you have to get it up to speed before it wants to turn. If you want to bring it around in a hurry on the steeps you need to give'r
For it's intended purpose it's super nice. Not quite as turny as I generally gravitate to. It's a 16 m scr.
Fit and finish is top shelf.
Plankenschtein is still one of my top 5 all time favorites. Lookin at it right now actually. It is a kick ass board. Can't get my friend Bruce off his. Killer board.
I'm heading to Whitefish tomorrow actually. Wish you guys were going to be there.
Bought in the summer, Gromel Stiletto 171
Greg
