When I see this Tinks pics

Glad I didn't sell my 202 full system. Have to ride that board this season. When I ride the board, always a big grin from ear to ear.

When Mike was looking the "Quiver" over he suggested that we should
throw a plate on one of the long boards and see how well it worked or what it would do to the ride?

That is my original 202cm (on the far right) and then a 203cm, although they are very close in shape. The nose is different and the waist is slightly wider and the 203 is both metal and stiffer.

With the super stiff construction on the new board...did you alter the camber, or is it similar to the other Tinklers you own? Just curious because my super stiff Virus has like 35mm of camber!!!

Yes, it has a rather complex profile, fair amount of camber between the bindings then flatter, then very slightly rockered toward the tip and tail.

Hey Ink. I beg your pardon. I simply missed your post. I wasn't ignoring you. Senior moment? Been pretty busy and only get a chance to peek into "Bomberland" on my self imposed breaks.

No, the two bolts / adjusters on the plate allow you to alter the relationship between the plate and the board. I use this vague terminology to require one to look at how the two planes interact.

A couple photos with adjusters circled in red to be clear.

the board with that bambus-topsheet was made by a small german manufacturer. it's a Plasma Competition, 190cm length, 20cm width and 17/19 meters sidecut. I was blown away by it's performance on steep icy slopes, so I needed to buy that beauty
There's no metal in it, but the ice-grip make me believe titanal is s promotion-gag

Yes, those would be what I was asking about. So the board has plenty of camber built in then you can decrease the amount by using the adjusters? I see pads below the plate in pic 3 of post #262. Is this basically what is going on here?

Dude, Calgary has a really active hardboot crew. User names on here that I can think of Riceball, Allee, Big Canuck, Ti Knee, Roo X (Cochrane). Also check out the Alberta ride board. Drop any of them a line or hit up the Alberta Carving Club on Facebook.
