    Nice edit of last week at MSM

    Our skier buddy Andy put together a nice edit of the GoPro and the SLR pictures from last Wednesday at MSM. Phil (philpjo) and I are doing the riding....

    I am amazed at how dead seranade is. I used to ride there all the time (before I got into hard boots) and it was always packed. Seeing this makes me want to get back up there to try it out on hard boots next year. Have you ever gone over to cheval blanc? I feel like Outaouais would be an excellent run once you got past the large valley.

    Cheval Blanc

    @MechEng
    It was super dead and it was Wednesday of March Break in Quebec to boot. Weekdays are always dead there...
    We have been over to CB side and Outaouais a few times, it's nice at the bottom.

    Dude, you have no clue how right you are. MSM at 1250 vft is the highest, closest day trip before Tremblant. My home hill (35 days this year and counting) is a whopping 280vft.....the rear Intec heel gets a workout. Two GoPro runs can fit in less than 1 minute of video!! You make the best of what you have

    Sorry to pop your bubble Paul. Its actually only 750', but I like how most mountains advertise their summit altitude to try and mislead you just a little!!

    Video looks great. I was at Cascades last night for a few hours and it was dead. Snow conditions were still excellent. I think we will still get a few more weeks out of the season for sure. I may try MSM tomorrow by myself if no one volunteers to keep me company.

    Wow

    I wouldn't have guessed MSM is only 750 vft...it feels alot higher than 100 vft more than Edelweiss..u sure ?? where did the 750 come from? I've seen a few sites that put it at a touch over 1000 but never as low as 750...that's 60% less vert than advertised..

    This is based on the graph in the link I posted above. They compare base elevation and summit elevation of the 5 "local" hills. They have an ultimate summit elevation of 1250' but their base is depicted at 500' giving me their 750' vertical. If they have more true vertical then they should have indicated it on the graph where they are promoting themselves as being higher than everyone else!

    Is it really that important to you to prove how small yours is?

    It's a realistic discussion about what we do have. Mine is in fact smaller than yours. But it is at least equally as satisfying as yours. The real question is whether or not you are able to accept it. ;-)

    PS. Some people love that they can go up and down mine way faster than they could yours.
