GoPro Wide OR Regular GoPro?

Hope this is OK to put in here...

l am looking hard at buying a new adventure style camera and the GoPro seems like the one to buy. There are two different models... the wide lens and the normal lens, it seems.

Which model would you recommend?

Also... any of you who have already purchased one... did you buy one of the pre-assembled accessory kits or buy the GoPro "naked" and choose your own mounts?

Any advice would be very much appreciated (^_^)

After using 2 cameras this week, I would say spring for the 920 or 1080 version. Such a difference between my 720 wide and my friend's newer version. I'll be making the change myself.

Don't go wide. You'll get vertigo just from watching the video...
Somwhere in last year's Cypress thread there should be a video by Ruwi, from Hemlock mountain. Great example of how bad the wide was.

Any recommendations on what mounting package to buy? Helmet/motorsports/surf... or go naked and custom accessorize?

l can only buy the motorsport or naked version here in Japan and various mounting options. Also... what size memory card is functional without being ridiculously big? 32GB sounds like it would bog down my computer when downloading ... but the 2GB card the camera comes with would be good for what?... 3 runs?!

Memory Card:
The availability in minutes left depends the image quality u set for recording, the higher less cap available. Get the High Capacity (HC) and the "read/writing" speed (Class = C), get at least the Class 4 or Class 6 = 10Mbs or Class 10 = 20Mbs or even higher. The faster the speed the less the camera stop for processing on continues shot/movie.

What u have to concern if your laptop/pc can read HC memory card.
