    Introductory pricing for Donek Plate

We have set a tentative price on our plate system. It is possible this price could change as we may see some unexpected things shake out in our first production run. For the first batch the price is $380.

I started cutting aluminum yesterday, so we should have units ready to ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Get your order in now in case that price does get altered.

    Talking Mine's ordered!

Can't wait to do some "research" into the effects of the plate on freeride and carving boards!

The mounting instruction video is in the works. I've rendered it once, but it seems to have errors and now Windows 7 just crashes every time I try to open premier. Be patient. I know I'm not being. I'd like to drop kick this computer.

i just watched the mounting instruction video for the second time and i can see that anything touching the snowboard top-sheet is plastic (except the screws in the inserts)
i was just wondering if it's safe to mount this plate system on a board with a metal top-sheet and the 4x4 inset pattern
i know there was a lot of testing done during last season, was any test done on a snowboard with a metal top and 4x4 pattern?
any results, thoughts, concerns or theories you would like to share?
    thanks
I know I'm not an "awesome carver" but I feel "awesome" when I'm carving

I did make it a point to avoid metal contacting the surface of the board, but it has not been tested on a metal top board. I can not provide any guarantees on that front. I hope I have done an adequate job of protecting such boards, but only time will tell.

Great value Sean. Did you blow through your first run already? Is there any wait time on new orders? At 400$ you are two hundred below Hangl, Viste and less than half the cost of the race version of the Apex. With so much flexibility in mounting your product is an excellent value.

I purchased the 4x4 mounting, I do have a couple boards that I would like to use your plate on that are UPM / Kessler/ SG / Tinkler/ etc.
Are you going to be offering the hardware seperately or perhaps to those who have already purchased the plate as an optional item? It appears the plate works for both , correct?

Thanks again for the excellent service, I wish you continued success.

    Bryan

    from the site:

The plate is the same for the 4X4 or UPM hole patterns. If you own a 4X4 or UPM version, you can purchase the hardware to mount the plate to the other hole pattern.

    UPM hardware kit $190
    4X4 hardware kit $190

    Hey Sean,

I have been drooling over the plate, does it only come in the one top/bottom sheet?

I do charge extra for different graphics although I am doing a run of plates soon and recently generated a stack of unusable snowboard tops (the spec boxes are printed mirrored). It is possible I could use one of them for you at no extra charge. You'd need to order soon to make it happen though.

We sold all the blems from the last run to a single team. I may generate a couple more in the batch that's running right now, so give me a call in a few days.

Just bagging up plates today. We do have a few blems in the stack. The discount is $20 for most. I might have a couple that are higher. Give me a call if you want one.
