My boots sound like a flock of gassy geese

I installed BTS last season and ever since my boots have gotten progressively louder. It is to the point that people are turning around to see what the horrible noise is. I tried greasing the springs and then realized that the noise is coming from the plastic of the boot rubbing together. Is this normal? Any suggestions?

I wrote to Michelle a few years ago because my boots were so squeaky that people were hearing them FROM THE LIFT as I snowboarded by. She wrote:

Yeah, it's the plastic rubbing on plastic at the ankle joint that does it.

Mine and Rebecca's do to. Haven't done anything about it though.

I find that my BTS 'click' when I flex forward or back and the spring rod moves either in or out.... have not found a solution.....

My BTS units click so much under aggressive flexing that they could be diagnosed with Tourettes...

I look at it as a small price to pay for both performance and style.

Silicon spray is your friend here. Pull the liner out and squirt some down between the inner and outer shell. It will quiet them up.

My BTS also does the clicking thing, not sure where the click originates but it doesn't seem to affect performance'
I think I will spend more time on the carving stick, not sticks, this year.

My Stratos Pros with BTS squeak like crazy. I love the confused looks I get because of it.

I find mine click quite a bit, but they do not squeak. I don't think it's loud enough to be heard over normal riding.
