    Q: Burton/Ibex binding canting?

Is there a way to add lesser cant than the standard +/- 7 degree Burton "wedge and metal puck" to a Burton/Ibex binding (without using the Unicant)?

I'm thinking of using the 7 degree in the back (wedge+puck) and something like 3 degrees in the front, but there's no way I'm putting a Unicant (Varicant?) up front.

There's a reference to a "microcant" in the latest Raceplate for sale listing that got me thinking about this. Anyone heard of that or know how to get it?

Thanks in advance for your insight!

    "micro-cant"

I've got a set if you're interested. They came with a set of bindings I got for my wife years ago and are now just sitting in a closet. They don't add a lot of cant but it sounds like you don't want much. I can shoot you a pic if you give me your email address.
They sit between the base and heel and toe blocks. Not sure if you'd need longer mounting screws or not. I'd think probably but you could find them at any decent hardware store.
They are yours for the cost of shipping.

    micro cants

I've been hoping to find a set of those since accidently selling a set off on some old binders last year. If rj doesn't take them I will.

cut any shape you want from wood and through bolt your bindings directly to the board

    tsall good

actually I just bought a pack of composite door shims at home depot. Equates to about 2.5 degrees, won't swell like wood and 1 pack is enough for several bindings at a $1.60
I have some old ski binding shims at .5, 1, 1.5 too, so I can adjust to whatever I want. It'll be a good project for the next couple of -20-30 wind chilled boilerplate days

How do you account for the change in angle when you're screwing it down?

Seems to me if you wanted to replicate the Burton 7* pieslice cant (in which case you should probably just buy one) the screws would either not thread or would sit funny on the plastic plate. Is 3* enough to throw it off?
