    BENT or BROKEN

Photos of either Bent or Broken boards. Good shots of boards in use being bent, or being broken. Basically a "Crash and Burn" series. Although well bent boards in action are the focus. Please don't take this as an invitation to go out and "Eat" it.

Cypress Mountain, March 08 - Half way on First Sun or #3 Run following Dave* on steeper part abt 25-30 degree slope after the hidden cat tracks. Finishing my toe side, nose point about 5-10 degree down the slope. Just about switching into heel turn, board just jammed or stop or I don't know what's happening,.. what I do know I was tumbling 360 and stop still on that steep part. Back on my feet and finish the run. I just noticed something isn't right with my forward binding when abt to line up back on the chair. And I found this Don't ask me how I did it. But what Ive learned, I noticed the leaves have different thickness. Anyone can comment on this?
Last pix is the position of the disk when it happend.

I like how you kept the "quality control" sticker on the board.

Lucky it happened to the binding and board and not you.

3 day old Prior 4WD. I stuffed the nose into a mogul mound. I was very happy my legs/body were fine after that.

My front binding was set up around 62 degrees. Is that what you are asking?

I just run the cant discs with toe and heel lift so they are aligned with my binding angles within 5 degrees if not straight on.

If you are wondering if the bindings or the setup had anything to do with the break they did not.

Yes, it's quite narrow. About 14-15cm in the middle. I really like narrow boards, they're more versatile I think.

    Kessler Slalom, very strange breakage

Seems like a production failure, never seen this before:

    Bummer Ace.

Is that the tail of the board? Hard tail landing? Stuff the nose?

What is "The rest of the story"??

Better the board than your body.
