Two shots from an awesome day at Nakiska this past weekend. Thanks for the shots Steve!
Low res but you get the idea....
From NES last weekend, too bad the picture isn't rotated properly - look at the trees.

this is what happens when a juvenile (read: a young inkaholic) encounters drifts along the side of a groomer. while he's technically not carving, he is on an alpine board.
while the old inkaholic hasn't done a backflip on plates in a while (notice I only said plates), we still get to see 360's on a near weekly basis.

That's really cool! The picture perspective makes it look like he's riding a snowblade version of a monoski.![]()
Thanks guys. I had a rocking Friday and Saturday at NES.
I learned not to put my arm up and out like in that heelside. I snagged it on a push-pile a few runs later and tweaked my shoulder a bit - lesson learned!
Local Photog, Ludovic got this one of me last weekend. There are more that he took of our regular bunch of carvers at http://www.akaflash.com/coverage/index.html

If you love something, set it free.
And if it doesn't return, hunt it down and kill it!

These are actually my only photos so that would make them the "best" ones too.
At Soelden, slope 25.
Cheers!

Retired??
Nice shots!!
Took this one last night. It was a pain to set up the lights in the snow, and the cold, but it was well worth it...
My vote for the best shot in this tread!

I second that, great shot. Check out this site for more ideas on remote flash etc...can be set up pretty cheap and simple with multiple flashes.

Just a bit too much work for me.
Nice job.

Danked,
Nicest carving shot I have ever seen, especially with that sort of light, just awesome![]()
Thanks guys. It was taken Monday at dusk at Mont Cascades. It was a colaboration with another photographer. My camera body, his lens, and one flash each made it possible. Gotta give credit to Shawn Carter for pushing the button...
Oh man, I just talked myself out of riding Cascades at the last minute on Monday night, had to stick around a little late at the office. Would've been piff to catch you out there, maybe next time.
There is no "CTRL" button on Jasey-Jay Anderson's keyboard. Jasey-Jay is always in control.
Thats a bummer dude. Would have been good to have someone else. We just had it set up for a couple runs at a time. Totaly could have gone through with the lights...
What do you ride? I'm up there all the time. I'm teaching at Cascades full time. Just look for the guy in the red jacket on either a green/yellow stripey board, big black freeride board, or an SG slalom board with Hangles.
