My new Donek FC 1 185.
The bad news: we've had like 4 feet of soft powder in the last 20 or so days, so it hasn't seen much snow time.
All together:"AWWWWWwwwww"
And Stan: You do need help!

You're wearing the perfect shirt for someone committing the crime of bitching about pow.
Your "White Christmas" spirit is lacking, Guy, but nice rod, anyhow.
I would put that in the "hardcore" catagory Dave... Nice stick!

A fast and low frontside in Pipeline would be nice;-) or maybe a nice little airborne one getting over the lip?
AAAAArgh! I will miss my weeks in Milkland this year.
Carve low in 2008!

Very nice Dave! Tell us what the top sheet material is?? And how about a close up pic.
I just ordered my Donek yesterday and will also be getting a custom top sheet.
It's an image from originalsnowboardart.com.
I have been wanting Sean to try and do a real wood veneer topsheet, but he's so busy he doesn't have the time it would take to do a lot of R&D.
So I tried this. Wasn't sure how it would come out, and the resolution was pretty low on it. In the classic car world we'd call it a 10-footer. (Looks great from 10 feet away).
Also, as Sean explained, it's very difficult to get anything centered, as he presses the board "blind".
But the fit and finish is, as usual, absolutely superb.
I finally got to ride it just this morning.
Conditions here are still fairly soft, but I managed to find some good corduroy.
This thing really cranks! I went from 179 to 185, and it's taking some time to get used to the extra length. Just a timing thing I think, like I'm a hair late on every turn, and then I'm trying to catch up to it.
Very lively, yet also very damp, even though it doesn't have the Olympic construction.
Life is riding; everything else is waiting.
Cool thanks Dave. If Sean could do wood I would be all over that! I can't wait to see how mine comes out. I'll be posting pics in 3-4 weeks.
