Best snowboard repair tech in the Bay area?

dropped my heavy Volant Excel 173, so now it's delaminating at the contact point and the base is a bit crushed. It definitely looks salvageable though if you scrape out the base, refill with material and close up the gap where the steel topsheet meets the edge.

Does anyone know of anyone who can fix this for me cheap? I know I could do it myself, but I don't have the tools, especially a grinder. I would appreciate any help. I live in San Jose. Thanks to all and have a happy holiday.

Can you post a pic of the damage? If it's repairable we could do it in my shop. I live in Benicia. Scott

    good luck

Has anyone ever had a lasting repair on these old skool metals? I have a 162 and a 173 with "minor" delam issues resting in the shed until someone invents a good metal adhesive.
I remember liking these rides very much.
    Keep us posted.

    open on Sunday?

Hey Scott, thanks for the message. Do you own a shop and are you open on Sundays? I'm thinking I can just drop by on a Sunday afternoon and let you take a look at the damage. I drive by Benicia on the way home to San Jose, after riding in Tahoe on the weekends.

Let me know if you are available. Thanks, and have a great holiday season.

A Volant is delaminating? No way!

FYI, they all did that. Yours took a good drop, but most did it all by themselves. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if yours had started to delam before, and either you didn't notice or it was just made visible by dropping it.

No harm in trying to fix it, but I wouldn't get too attached to that board, nor would I invest a lot in fixing it.

I've actually had pretty good luck getting repairs done by Dave's in Truckee or Tahoe City.

Anybody try JB weld. I've found it can work when other epoxies don't
