That's interesting, before you thought it was hooky...
Boards that lock into the turn normally want to go across the fall line and beyond...
That being said, I do feel that Ibex has the weakest bails, out of the 4 current most common brands.
One of our (former) local heros, rode Race Plates only, 100 days per season and weighed ~230-240. However, he did have lots of boards and bindings and rotated them. He replaced bails every few years....
Proton is actually a very good EC board. The radius is 13m (just like the Swoard 168) and it should flex softish at your weight, which is good for EC. You should be able to make it turn very tight or...
Thanks for the info.
I picked a pretty minty 156 with race plates last month. It's going to be great for the students!
More I look at this thing, more I see that the ATV was shaped after it!
So, is it a metal or plain Prior? Round tail or square tail? Is that one of the Nyberg boards?
How wide is the BX, the one that's made for SBX weight ;)
Hey, that Prior wide, is it a WCRM (metal) or just a plain WCR? Where the 176 comes into the picture - he only made 175 that was a squaretail and 177 the roundtail? How wide is the wide?

Good beers...
We missed YOU!
Awsome! I would finaly be able to ride 12" stance, although I might have to drill the Kessler and use ski screws, as the inserts won't allow it that narrow.
Also, since the binding setup is...
Just yesterday, I had an on-snow symposium with Gtanner, Scooby, Tenorman, Kaz, Cousin and few others. We discussed this issue in depth and decided that from now on we'll all switch to front foot...
As Gord said - tons of underhang on that Virus.
But I remember those boards, you were trolling us already with the stance lengths...
If you enjoyed the heel lift on the front binding and no quad burn from doing it, it probably means that your front boot is set to upright (cuff lean), or the stance is to narrow, or both.
Tell me something about it :(
We had 30cm of fresh on Saturday. It still snowed a bit yesterday on the closing day of Cypress. Huge snow base still...
Spring 2013...
Cypress hardcores wish you happy summer!
Luka and me showed up on skis only at about noon. Snow was surprisingly good, especially on Collins. No crowd either, until 1:30ish.
Luka was just killing it, railing both edges. Where was that all...
