My first board was a Proton, and I found that it did not like tracking across the fall line as much as down it. I'm sure most of that was technique, but after hopping on other boards that's what I...
Same here, can't remember when I last wore a leash. I don't think they are all that necessary, imo. Just make sure your gear is set up properly and you're all good.
They don't have rocker, and are generally obsolete boards. The only advantage of them is they are pretty cheap if you can find them, albeit they have a pretty high frequency of breakage, so there...
The ??? is my buddy Bryant, who had been on hardboots for 3 runs. Nice reverse superman.
I vote Ajax, but we'll see. I'm up for anything.
If you can entertain yourself on a bunny hill, you are aren't trying hard enough, let alone getting g's in a turn.
Come prepared; bring a pow board. Or fight for a demo should the fluffy white stuff fall.
At Snowmass: Slot. Love the pitch, when it is groomed it is real fast. A few pitchhes on The Edge.
Ajax: Ruthies is about as good as it gets.
Buttermilk: Racer's Edge has some fun, fast pitches.
Groomer-wise, there are maybe a couple small spots I know of on all the mountains where you might see a couple pebbles. Otherwise I think you're in good shape. Now as for the steeps and bumps and...
Ha, Angie and I were at Smass the day they were filming last year, and I found us, even got some carving shots of me.

Nice, Mark is a great guy. Snowmass is better by far than Highlands for their nastar course. Aspen has a good course as well, albeit closed mon-wed. Maybe Thursday?

Looks like Friday should be good.
I should also add that Harry and PJ at Gene Taylors are two of the best bootfitters around. If you want to get work done, they take a very minimalist approach that can work wonders.
The highlands nastar course is also pretty terrible. Very flat, not much in the way of offset for the gates.
If you are looking to have your board tuned during SES, be sure to drop it off at Gene Taylor Sports on the Snowmass Village mall. They will treat you board right, just take yourr bindings off...
Model? Year? Specs? Pics?
You won't sell it if you don't post those things.
Nope, just full.
You don't want to ride there this season. Not enough snow for them.
Unless you are knock kneed, double inwards just seems weird. That said, it's all personal preference. Whatever feels good for you is what is best for you.
I didn't read anyone's responsed. sorry. Anyhoo, my thoughts on bumps in hardboots is we ride it more like skiers. Think jump turns. That, for me, makes the difference in bumpy terrain. Making...
I currently ride a prior flc, and love sean's new revs. If you want a fun freecarve board, either of those two will worrk well for you. Give sean a call and have hhim make you one on the softer side...
Wow dude, really? That's all you have to say? And try posting this in the classifieds next time.
Last year my wife won a custom Donek, and in years past I have won a custom Donek as well as a Bozi Longboard when they were being produced. Plus, tons of fun recapping the whole week with good...
If you need poles to get to a lift or get off, you are doing something wrong.
