AT Boots vs SB Boots

I've been riding for several years with a pair of AT boots--giving me a reasonable mix of flex and stiffness. I'm looking to replace the boots with new Scarpa Denalis, but I'm also thinking about some dedicated SB hard boots. Should I? Will the difference be profound? I like the flexible use options of AT boots for backcountry travel. And while I do love lots of gear, I also don't have tons of money to spend. I ride a Burton FP and Speed Wide, along with a Donek Incline, all with TD1's. Thanks for any suggestions.

What size incline do you ride? How does the speed wide compare to it?

My first hardboots were Dynafit Tourlites. They worked pretty well as carving boots. As long as the longer sole length isn't a problem with your boards, it probably is a decent way to go. SB boots will give you a shorter sole length and maybe better support/flex, but you'll do fine with the AT boots. If you decide you want step-in bindings, then you'll have a decision to make.
