- Several people have successfully secured reservations with the ECES discount at Sugarloaf. However we had a report of one incident where someone called Sugarloaf to make reservations and they didn't know the deal. I've been assured by my contact there that it shouldn't happen again, but IF it does, you can ask to speak with <b>Wendy Russel</b>.

Remember, if you <b>need roomates</b>, or <b>need accomodations</b>, there is a public forum for making these arrangements here:
http://www.eces.us/phpBB2/index.php

- Another ECES first: in addition to the snowboards, bindings, and other fabulous prizes, we will be raffling off a shiney new pair of <b>boots</b>: Deeluxe Le Mans, care of the Bomber store. Thanks Bomber!

- Alpine newcomer Surf-Rodz will be demoing an interesting new line of twin-tip carving boards at the ECES. Check 'em out: www.surf-rodz.com. We will also have demos from the usual fav's, Prior, Donek, Madd, and demo bindings from Bomber and Catek.

- Be sure to see the front page at www.eces.us for important dates that are coming up fast.

See you there!

Our first soft deadline for the ECES is looming: on <b>January 22</b>, the resort will adjust our lodging block based on the number of reservations made up till then. So it would be great if you know you are coming to go ahead and make the call to 1-800-THE-LOAF and ask for the East Coast Expression Session deal.

Other important deadlines are discussed here. (http://www.eces.us/latestupdate.htm)

For those new to the ECES, we've (finally) written the "<a href='http://www.eces.us/about.htm' target='top'>about</a>" page at www.eces.us. Check it out.

Actually according to the specs on their site, the waists are 189mm on the 170 and 192mm on the 180. I'll bet the twin tip design creates an illusion that makes them look narrower. But even at ~19cm, they're very... unconventional. It'll be interesting to see them on snow.
