Okay, ever since I switched to clip ins for my front foot, the toeclip setscrew has been griding a pretty good sized crater into my boot. The Carvers Almanac mentions using a carriage bolt or a flat head bolt to alleviate this problem. What size/length carriage or flat head bolt should I be using for TD1s and TD2s?
Thanks in advance.

I'm interested in this too. I just got some new boots and TD2's. I want to play around with standard (influenced by Extremecarve of coarse :D ) and don't want to mark up my pretty boots.

I took them off and they work fine. I use Raichle 425's.
