Hey Fred, was that taken at Kanasuta? it looks like the quad in the background and the t-bar beside it.

Well it all started back when i was about 14 years old i got my very first Burton M6 and started carving it up. In those days getting low was the only thing on my mind. In 1999 I got sponsored by Burton, and in 2000 signed a contract with them. Rode for them till 2004. I was on the Ontario Provincial team from 2001 to 2003, then started riding with the best team in North america in Steamboat coached by Thedo Remmelink. Ive been on tour racing since 2001 and hope a few more years to come. I have a few segments in some snowboard vids and had my first spot light page in 1999 with snowboard life.
I hope this answers a few of your questions. I could write a small book about my snowboarding life, i hope this covers what you were look for.

Thanks...It is interesting to "see" the other side of carving. For me, I have been riding for almost 20 years and never gave much thought to serious competition. I just enjoy taking my kids out and tearing it up with them every day. For those (like me) who ride hard, but just lurk here, it would be cool to find out competition/team bios on those who have it.

At the end of last season, Thedo's name came up. I met him in 90' or 91' up at Mt. Hood during the Summer. He and I rode the chair together and ended up hanging out for the rest of the day. I haven't kept up on the riders in the World Cup over the years, obviously. I always wondered what he went on to become. He was riding for Nitro then. I would guess he is a great coach from my experiences. And that afternoon he introduced me to Mark Fawcett and we all watched the Flintstones together at the Cross M house in Hood River. I was pretty stoked :biggthump
And sweet pictures in your gallery too!

Thedo is now in Steamboat CO, Were he has a PROAM alpine Team out of winter sports club. So he is still in the snowboarding industry thats for shure.
Thank you for your intrest in my pics too. There from a few years ago but there will be some new ones this week, just keep checking.

Slopetool. Too good! You have such a way with words. I can so visualize that. You were like a pig in mud! Another "Classic" moment from the "Slopetool". Time to ask again if you will apply your writing skills for a few articles at www.oldsnowboards.com , any chance you would consider a change of title? VP and Head Writer? Allot more work so we will double your pay?

You know I'd love to Bryan, but with my limited time on plates, it will take a while to amass a reasonable number of photos. Maybe will have to work on that at SES.

Hi Dan, know what you mean. I didn't have any until a pro at my home area talked me into making a run with him. I could not believe how many good shots he got out of half of a crappy icy run! I felt like I was sketching the whole run. I guess that is why he is a pro!!
Then going to SES helped too. Guys like Jack M , Scott F. and Mossman where good enough to "Hang" for a few runs and take photos. I guess you know that , you were there. I recall a few good shot of you !! The cool thing about getting those shots is in a few years you can look back at your progress. That will be very cool! Keep up the good work , you certainly have the passion to carve!!
Freddy. Thanks for adding the Descriptions. You can also add titles that can be seen from the thumbnails if you like. Looks good, great imagery.

Ya we did a few shots down there. For this Burton shoot they closed the entire side of the resort. It was nice to lay it out, but the fact that we started at 5am wasent so cool.

nic...Im starting to realize...youre a _french_ canadian, arent you.
the showboat joke was about the looking at the camera thing...just messin with you a bit...seems kinda flashy to me, but like you said, if they are asking you to do it, by all means!
I miss riding steamboat. what a fun mountain. lacking in steeps obviously but a carvers heaven!

I was born in Ontario but i lived 20 min from Quebec. Half of my sponsors were from there so i spent lots of time there. My home mountain was in Quebec. Mount Kanasuta small mountain, but thats were all the action started for me.
All the pics with exception to the first one are done in CANADA. Quebec, Ontario, BC. My new web site will be up very soon, and there you will be able to check all the shoots i have had. www.fastfredy.ca
The boat is fun at times. The mountain is good for alpine when its not busy.
I dont get to ride there much but when we do its a blast.
PS how did you know i was french, You seam to know alot about me. Do you have a little crush on me....lol :1luvu: :nono: :D
