Anyone going to be at Mammoth or June this weekend?
Maybe if we can round up a few more carvers, I can convince gdboytyler to stay on his edges all day;)

If it gets too soft/slushy and the Proton is no longer the optimal board, I'm heading over to the park with my freestyle board to join all the baggy-pants-teenagers.
Or maybe work the moguls with the O-Sin.

GaryJ, I just got back from Mammoth, I rode on Monday and Tuesday, conditions were good for carving. Temps are warm, low 50s for the high.
I found that Stump Alley was a bit hard in the morning softening throughout the day, not wet sloppy, but softening. Broadway was the same condition. I found the best snow conditions were on Chair 3 and 5 with an occasional ride to the top for some steeps riding.
I found that Canyon Lodge, Chair 16 area was like mashed taters beginning around 12:00 so I stayed away from there.
There were people riding in short sleeves, tank tops, bikini tops and no tops at all, although the latter was a dude, darn it!!
The Cal High School STate Championships were going on so there were tons of plate riders in Mammoth this weekend, though most of them were trapped on the race course for most of the day.
I also saw a new Donek Pilot under one of the female riders, awesome looking board!!

GaryJ,
Will probably be heading up to June for Saturday and and half-day Sunday.
There will be 2 of us on alpine gear - most likely on upper lift.
