Today was the last day of the Trenchn' Convention. We had excellent weather throught and the snow held up really well considering the temps were better for hanging out and drinking beer rather than riding, but we made it happen anyways.

A huge thanks and two big thumbs up to Fin for coming for the final two days. He brought tons of demos and lots of smiles to the already freindly vib that the hardbooter guys had going.

Personally I had a blast riding on different boards and talking shop with other hardboot riders. I was a little disapointed that there wasn't too many new faces, oh well maybe next year some of the east coasters will make it to Utah.

Some of the equipment I got to put under my feet included a Madd 170, a Sword 173?? med flex, Pete Thorndikes personal PGS word cup board from last season (it's a Donek), I also got the make some turns on some TD2's with a new super soft rubber elastmer that Fin was kind enough to let us try. But the board that suprised me the most and brought the biggest smile to my face the entire weekend was......... a Prior wcr 181, man was that board nice, way nicer than I thought it was going to be. Don't get me worng, I have ridden some of Chris' boards in the past and have a 185 wcr, but the board I demoed really felt extra good (not as good as Billy's Kessler, but still stood it's ground.)

I might be reviewing some of these boards for the hardbooter website so look over there in the future for more indepth thoughts on these products.

Again thanks to Fin for getting out of Co. and making turns with us in UT.

Sorry we missed you today, Phil and others at WTC in PC. Had to go back to the daily grind. But, yesterday at Snowbasin was an incredible day of riding and trying new equipment. Everybody at the hardbooter.com and Fin at the BOL canopies kept asking me what I wanted to ride next, what boot I wanted to try, what size boot, what are my angles, what's my stance width, on and on and on. I felt like a sugar addict on vacation in Candyland.

I fell in love with the Donek Axis (162) and rode it most of the day. The Rad-Air Tanker (182) rode like a 170; had a soft nose. The Donek FC I took me to school and spanked my bottom. My 17 year old son rode the Madd 170 and fell in love with it.

I also became a convert to TD2SI's. The only thing stiffer than those binders might be the Donek 180-something (Pete Thorndike's former custom race ride) that my son grabbed first off the rack. Fortunately, Bordy stepped in and recommended something a bit more toned down for him.

Thanks again to everyone who made us feel welcome at SB yesterday.

The yellow e-rings I received last month are way softer then the "original" yellow e-rings - is this what we are talking about?
I dig them on my Axis.

Glad you liked it. After I demoed an Axis 167 last spring, I asked Sean if he would extend the line down one more notch. He did, and I'm happy with mine.

BIG Thanks to Fin and Hardbooter for the great time at the WTC. It was fun to finally meet some new folks as well as see others that I haven't for a while. Lots of goodies to try/buy and lots of grins to go around. Looking forward to next year already! Thanks again!

Dave or Billy,

What model was that 183 Virus? Yet another amazing ride! However, with that price tag, my wife would have probably divorced me on the spot had I taken it home

pleasant results, eh? did you find yourself sitting on a deck on a beautiful spring morning, sipping tea while getting your shoulders rubbed by a beautiful brunette?

:)

ordered a set from fin. should help make a freeride setup less abrasive:
