spring things

I saw some hard boots with spring things on the back where the foward lean is.

What are these things and where do you get them, what are they for, why would you want them :)

try searching using the term RAB, that's what Raichle calls them. Much better than the 5 position lock and load system, they allow more even boot flex.

The UPZ boots have this. It is adjustable forward and backward flex. I am a set it and forget it kind of guy, so I never even messed with mine, but I am sure that you can dial your boots to have the exact flex that you want.

Deeluxe formerly Raichle they jam and become pointless I just put the five position lean gizmo on my af 700s
burton and UPZ have the best of both worlds springs and a multi position forward lean
I guess the folks at raichle figured snowboarders could not handle both
