Hey guys,

Although I'm real light and my Burton Race plates are working OK now, I sorta wanna try something more heavy duty. Currently I have a 98 Alp (may upgrade next year)- can this board handle TDs / Cateks or am I flirting with disaster?

Any lighter riders had accidents with the Race plates? (hopefully no)

thx,

Barry

We used the older small base plate TD1's on Alps, no problems even with heavier riders. Go for it.

I rode an Alp for a short season on TD1s after several seasons on those awful Burton rat-traps. No disasters... (I'm 165lb.)

I rode a Burton Alp 156 with Burton step-ins for 4 or so years.
Also, during the same period I rode an Alp 169 with Burton race plates. I am 130 lbs, ride aggressively and am not particularly careful with my equipment and never had a problem.

I now ride an Ultra Prime 163 with an old set of TD1s and am very happy with the overall performance.

Last year I replaced my 9 (or so) year old Raichle 123s with a pair of Raichle 423s. Thanks Bomberonline.com!

Will probably be upgrading to TD2s before next year.

Best of luck!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

Don't even consider using those bindings on your Burton Alp.

Send your Bombers or Cateks to me, and I'll exchange them for some nice Burton plates.

I know, I know....it's awfully generous of me....but I do what I can to help.
