Talking with Barry, we were wondering if there is a minimum suggested weight of the rider for the Axis 167? So far, I have been on my setup (Axis 167, TD2 stepin, Suzukas) for a total of 3 days, and I am wondering if I have bitten off a little more than I can chew in terms of stiffness? Would I be learning faster if I had a little more forgiving setup? I weigh 140 lbs fully clothed. I have been snowboardings in softboots off and on for 17 years, though.

I learned on the 167 Axis as well, and I weigh 135 lbs. The board felt stiff and unforgiving at first, but I got used to it in a few days. You should be plenty heavy to flex it in a carve.
I had a pretty narrow stance width, due to having itty bitty legs (I think as narrow as I could put the bindings on the board), and I'm sure that helped flex the board, too.

Even if you didn't buy this direct from Sean, I think this a question best answered by the man himself.

Ken: Thanks, man. That gives me some hope. I did notice that I had a much better go at riding it when I narrowed the stance.
Chris: Barry just told me the same thing. I have a 150 Incline on the way from them, so I can ask them that question when I check on the status.
