View Full Version : Jackson Hole bootfitter?

I've been riding on Raichle 123's for the past few seasons, with thermoforms baked in my own oven, and some mods (adding 5-position lean, 4th strap).

They're all right, but I wish I had better boots. Something stiffer, perhaps, and more comfortable, and mostly just put together better (I've replaced I think 2-3 rivets with nuts/bolts after blowing out the rivets).

There is no place that I know of near me (Madison, WI) that has hardboots, nor anyone clueful enough to expertly fit them.

I am, however, headed to Jackson Hole in a month, and am wondering if there is anyone there that might be good.

I'm not looking for a great deal (as with most of my purchases); I am willing to spend a few hundered dollars to get a good boot and a good fit.

Recommendations?

You can go to Les Moise in Milwaukee for good bootfitting, but I don't believe thay carry the HEqad or Deluxe boots so I thinkyou'd have to get the boot first.

When will you be in Jackson? I'm headed out in a month as well.

You'd be hard pressed to find any hard boot gear in Jackson. However, if you're looking to customize your current boots, some of the shops at the Village have master bootfitters.

I'm headed out Feb 25 - Mar 6. Have the 8/10 day lift ticket ordered. =)

I've not been there since before I learned to ski, and even since boarding, I've never really carved out west.

I'm hopeful I can find some good slopes. I think some of the blue runs off of the "intermediate" mountain might be good (Rendevous?) for carving.

I need to decide what gear to take out. I'm definitely taking my Axis 177, but what other board? Probably go with my freestyle board, since I know there will be lots of moguls and such to deal with if I stick with the group I'm with (who love the Hobacks).
