There's tons of boots on e bay. The Oxygens would work if your calf is not too big. Or the older 123 Raichles.

you just have to drill the holes for the heel piece and cable. And I can show you how to cut them down a little if you want to. Let me know.

as in cut the cuffs shorter to remove weight, increase the flex a little, put in shorter liners, now if Fin would post the story/pics I sent him I wouldn't have to email pics to everyone who asks that question.

hmmm...

is the 123 a higher cuff boot?

I have a pair of 314s for my girl..theyre pretty low cuff...would those be a boot that wouldnt need to be modded?

3 buckle boot, but I trimmed mine to take the top off just below the power strap. Am going to stitch a strap to my thermo liner 'cause I need one to feel comfortable riding. This was an experiment to see how light I could make a pair of boots for backcountry use. Ended up at 4 lbs. per boot, using thermo short liners from bomber and putting Vibram rubber on the toe piece and sole areas. Also used Fast stepin heels on the boots(had 'em, like 'em better for hiking). That is a full pound less than where I started per boot. These are what I plan to use for my splitboard, mostly. Oh, btw, there is a pair of 123's on ebay right now in a 27.5. The only diff is the liner size, and if you were going to change liners, they would work for you.
