Is there a general consensus as to the best place in the GTA to get a good base grind? Level it off, new structure, choose my base edge angle etc?
Having worked at a number of the shops I know where I wont take it (although I would only assume they've changed their practices/equipment since i left)....
any suggestions?

I like the workmanship at Kenmark. They've always done a great job on my skis and boards.

Haven't been in a while, but I've used Sporting Life on Yonge (Boards and Bikes store) for work on my Coilers.
Bruce used to take all his new Production boards there for a grind. He may have gotten the same person to work on his boards though; not sure if they'd still be working there. Bruce has acquired some additional equipment for his shop since those days, so he does the finishing himself now.

Yes, Bruce was having all his boards done there up to about 3 years ago (?). There was one guy in particular that Bruce dealt with and I can't recall his name right now. He was tempermental and very difficult to work with. The manager apologized to me after I brought some boards in one time and asked for him, not because I was offended but because of the way he behaved.
I watched the work being done and their machine was top quality and well maintained. The work was quite good. However, like many procedures, the outcome depends on who is operating the equipment.
