I was watching my favorite station yesterday fuel. They had my favorite show "Sacred Ride" on. It's basically hosted by Mark Fawcett (my favorite rider)....seeing a trend? Anyway, It was him with a girl rider and some others including Craig Kelly. They were working with his back country tour company and the powder in this episode was epic. It brought back memories of why I got into snowboarding in the first place. Although I love carving on hard pack, it's only an opinion, but nothing compares with the freedom one gets when riding deep pow on deep steeps. Won't go back to softies but still like riding pow in shells.
Anyway at the end of the episode there was a nice little tribute to Craig Kelly. A great rider, nice guy, and I was glad I met him when he was in Wisconsin. His style was so distinct you could pick him out of a crowded hill. I still have to find a rider like that again.
He is missed.
Check out Fuel TV... Music and some very cool boarding, surfing, skating shows.
