Board questions

Anyone have any info on a carving board made by Mistral Sonic model 174, yellow top sheet, black bottom, found one for sale with some Rossi plate bindings, good condition asking $160. Thank you.

if I remember correctly they stopped making them in the late 90s

I rode a couple of the smaller ones and they are good boards
a little gushy but at the time I was about 230 lbs

Thanks for the age info, I'm surprised as the board is in almost new condition, is a more racy contempory shape and cap construction.

wow. my buddy had a mistral in like 1990. I had no idea they kept makin boards

Brian, if you scroll through the members section to Garrett, send him an email, he can give you the info you need. I rode with him at the SES in '03 and he could rip on a Mistral 174. He had a great surf style riding the hard boots, one thing I remember about his style is that he was always low enough to touch the snow but never would. I thought it looked cool cuz everyone here always drags a hand in the snow, Garrett didn't. If you were at SES 04 he was seen wearing a lab coat as he rode,

Nice board, medium flex, 13m sidecut and 19cm waist if I recall correctly. From '96 maybe?
