I recently picked up a used Madd. I have seen some posts here that the bolts for the bindings need to be longer. I will be using burton race plates. Any suggestions on where one can get the bolts and how much longer they have to be?
Thanks
Dick

As you said, there are posts that discuss this, use the search function to find the information. I know off hand you want screws that are 2mm longer than your normal ones.

Burton bindings (without a canting plate) use 16 mm bolts, so I would guess 18 mm would be a good lenght. If you use a Burton canting plate, the screws (between plate and board) are much shorter, 12 mm I think, but I'd have to go check.

Whatever people might think, the bolt length is not only dependent on the recess of the insert in the board, but also the type of binding used. For example, if you used a new Olympic Catek, 18mm would we 'way too long. The older version Catek is much thicker, so a longer bolt would be needed. The whole point is that you MUST measure it yourself, for your application, as an overlength bolt is really bad news, especially for a new board!

I think what we're really looking for is this:
If it takes a bolt X mm long to attach my bindings to the average alpine board, what length do I need for my Madd?
I asked Cheri this quetsion and she replied "about 2mm".
