Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone of you ever stay stuck in these type of binding. My girlfriend ride a Burton Physic-race (whatever), with the ''hook'' in front of the boots and the hole on the heels; with pins getting out of the binding.
The binding sometime don't want to come off making the boot stuck into it.
Any solutions ?

yes, switch to intec
those bindings are fickle. also, the clear blue ones had plastic issues, they literally explode.

I assume she is pulling the release handle and it won't move?

Pushing down on the heel as you pull the handle is the way to go.

If you pull up on the heel or tilt either way while trying to release, it won't. This can hard to do if you use a lot of cant.

bobdea,
I'm on TD2 si an want to get her a set of sweet TD3; but she like her freaking Burton boots too mutch.....
dano,
No cant and doing exactly that; pushing the heel then pull up the line but still stay stuck sometime.

Last night I remove the heel peice and open it up. It was full of dirt (freaking parkinglot's sand). I cleaned it up an regrease the spring; look mutch better. I think that some crap my got under the flipping mecanism, making it impossoble to pull the line all the way....we'll see during the next ride

When the time comes, if those Burton boots fit Physics heels then they'll fit Intec or Fintec heels also. I've used both types of heels on the same pair of boots with complete compatability.

here's a thought about keeping sand & grit etc out of your heel mechanisms... use form-in-place gasketing material (squeeze tube stuff) or a heavy grease where parts of the housing come together. Where moving parts come thru the housings... pack the area inside with heavy grease. Of course you'll need to select materials compatible with your heels and will allow removal from the boots and heel disassembly. A job for.... Bomber Butter? Big Caveat: I've not tried (on SI heels) what I just suggested. I've got intecs but have only used them a handful of times. Most of the time I'm in std bindings.

burton boots work fine in bombers!

The last year or 2 Burton made the Burton Physics they manufactured a new heel design with thicker rings. These rings are what sit on the posts of the bindings attached to your board. The old rings had a tendency to wear and create more of an oval shape then a circle. As this happens, in order for the ring to properly fit on the posts it would not sit parallel to the base but rather on an angle. This causes the release to become more and more difficult. If this becomes a problem either try to find the "newer" Burton heel pieces or get rid of the bindings all together and switch to the Bomber step ins. I had many pairs of Burton bindings. They were good while they lasted but once they start to go either get them fixed or throw them away. Failure can and will happen. I've ripped those towers apart many times because of wearing parts and have broken free of my board. It can be a problem.

Good Luck

Wasn't there a warning about boots with screwed toe pieces when using TD binding ?
I read on previous thread that Bomber or Catek binding were too stiff, putting too mutch stress on the plastic ?
That's why I haven't got her a pair of TD....

the UPZ debacle
other than that some people claimed the TD1 and catek world cups could could break the clear burtons but I never had that issue. put in TONS of time with intec td1s with burton boots with NO issues.
