Got my Burton Winds, and ready to try them out this coming weekend. However the liners rub against my foot in a weird place.
So I switched them out with some old ski boot liners that I had laying around. However, I'm sacrificing at least an inch of the liner going up my calf.

Is that going to affect my carving ability or...

I'm just thinking out loud. Let me know what you think.

Only if it means the shell is going to cut into your leg. Otherwise, go for it. You might try carpet surfing it first.

As long as liner does not up to your knee there is no problem, except if you take your pants of it looks silly
