View Full Version : Thin Tanker Base?

So I purchased a used Tanker 192 from 2004 I think? Gave it a nice 8 inch core shot the other day, which doesn't bother me. What does bother me, is how thin the base is! There is still plenty of edge left, so I don't believe it has been ground much, and who I got it from pretty much never rode it.

Anyone seen similar things on other tankers?

yes, I thought it was just the wide models and that seems to be more common in general with wide boards having thin spots due to apparently it being difficult to get wide rides flat.

anyway both my tankers were thin.

That the one you bought from me? I never rode it even once, and I am fairly certain that it had never been ground.

I've come to the conclusion that most HB riders may be better served for most conditions with a 180 Donek Incline with some new school mods to it, like tip/tail decamber, etc.

Still, I love my 192!

wonder what a metal incline would be like.

Yeah, but no worries. I still love the thing.
