Are those gadgets useful for carving/racing training as well as conditioning ?

I used one a little four years ago rehabbing my knee (ACL). My gut instinct i sthat they will help develop muscles, but won't really help tecnique. they don't truly represent enough of an edge angle. furthermore, you have to be angulating, keeing the upper body vertical due to the lack of centrifugal force. you cant inclinate. no extreme carving here...

I got one at a Sharper Image auction for $20 years ago and they're kinda silly. We'd bring it out at parties for the drunko fun factor. ncer is right , no technique help at all. I gave mine away to the ski club. If you see one at a yard sale for cheap, pick it up.

for Snowboard training? I would think a wooble or Rolo board would be more useful and infinitely cheaper...says he who is now spending time rehabing his ankle...I will never escape the injuries of my youth....thankfully I just rolled it
