We were talking about the "scary sharp system" for sharpening as it applies to your board edges. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30475

I started thinking about the use of micro bevels which are widely used on plane & chisel edges: See:http://www.leevalley.com/shopping/TechInfo.aspx?c=1&type=a&p=57106

Can any of the tuners here comment on the use of mirco bevels. I could see their theoretical benifit, ie:allowing you to ride more accute angled edges, without the dulling. Care to comment?

I know this is way geeky, but I love to sharpen stuff.:D

I think that is the idea behind the "Twin Roto Concept". You can read more on their webpage http://tooltonic.com/twinRotoConcept.asp. In my opinion they produce the absolutly best edge sharpening tools available.

Fully agree, and best is that this way you can have sharp edges without loosing too much of valuable edge material due filing is not needed, just 2 sets of Roto-Finish :1luvu:
