always question #1:
got custom footbeds?
it's apparently the only solution for flat feet; at least, that's what every bootfitter has told me for my feet, which are also flat.
i don't, and the expense for them sounds nightmarish to me. however, the foot pain i get from the very first run of every day is probably even more nightmarish. some day i will have to take the plunge :smashfrea

I have that problem on my right foot - on me the navicular bone actually sticks out farther than the medial malleous (inside ankle bone.) Loads of fun getting a boot to fit that!:eek:
Heat moldable liners are your friends :1luvu: and I really recommend getting some asap: http://www.bomberonline.com/store/accessories/liners.cfm
For my Raichle's that is all I had to do. When I had them cooked, the boot fitter stuck a fairly large donut around the bone and a pad on top of that to create plenty of room.
I have, with other boots, made pretty substantial donuts out of mini-cell foam and stuck them between the shell and liner - big and thick enough to spread the pressure out to the rest of the foot around the bone. And a few times I have just duct taped a donut pad to my foot - that's kind of desperate though. Thermoflex liners are much easier! :biggthump:1luvu:
p.s. I have extremely flat feet as well, but my feet seem happy that way - no custom footbeds for me. I just make sure there is nothing in the boot that tries to force my feet to have more arch than they really do - artificially enhanced arches give me screaming foot cramps. But that's just me. :)

Get thee to a good bootfitter. Problem solved.
My son has the same thing. Gets boots punched every year. No problem.
