Does anyone have info what exactly happened?

Watching ESPN Asia could only heard that he broke his board into 2 pieces, which I kinda doubt but there was no footage of this very moment to verify what was told.

He did about half of his first run ... there was a double gate ... he hit the second gate and crashed into the net at the side ... this impact cracked his board (in front of the front binding) ... but the board didnīt break during riding ...
He said that he felt very good that day and his ankle didnīt hurt, but he is not sure whether he will compete in the next races, because his ankle hasnīt fully healed yet.

Yea, what Wintergold said. He was sliding head first down the hill when the nose of the board caught a netting post and snapped it.
